Growing Taller During Sleep

Usually when we see somebody sleeping infront of us we keep starring  and wondering why he/she looks taller; especially when looking at a child.
But what is the secret behind that? Why do we look taller while sleeping?
This is related to two things. The first is that during the day and because of the activities we make, the cartilage in our knees, connective tissues and other areas slowly compress. But while sleeping this cartilage goes back to its normal structure.
The second reason is that the discs of the spinal cord reabsorb their synovial fluid while sleeping, after it was released as a result of gravity during the day. This in turn compresses the spine and the person looks shorter.
On average we are about 1 cm taller while we are sleeping!
So simply now sleeping will help us,especially short people like me, get taller for free  ;)

Did You Know??

Thanks God :)

Did you ever think about the reason for having salty tears, bitter water ear  and sweet/ fresh  mouth water?!!
I read about that and would like to share the wisdom behind having them this way.

As for the eyes, if you try to taste your tears you will find that they are somehow salty. It is because the eyes are very sensible and there should be something that keeps them stable and protects them from corruption. That is why saltiness would help in attaining that.
On the other hand, the bitter water ear is present so that insects and small creatures could not be able to enter or penetrate deeply through the ears; they would simply go out.
And finally concerning the mouth, we would not have been able to taste food if saliva was not fresh. Different tastes are obtained through this freshness. And that is why when you get sick, sometimes the taste of food changes which is certainly related to a change that occurred in saliva's freshness.

I Already Have One!!

A teacher asked her student: If I gave you an Apple then another apple and another, how many apples would you have?

The student replied confidently: four apples!

The teacher then repeated the question assuming that the child did not hear well. The child calculated again trying to find another answer, but unfortunately the student answered again: four.

The teacher got frustrated but she did not give up on him. So she asked him the same question replacing apples by oranges. She said: If I gave you an orange and another orange and another, how many would you have?

The child replied: three oranges ...

This encouraged the teacher to ask the student about the apples again. But the student said: four apples!

The teacher got angry and yelled: oh my God, what's the difference between both? Can you tell me?

He fearfully replied: because I already have one apple in my bag!

"When someone gives you an answer different from what you expect, do not judge it to be wrong directly. Perhaps you misunderstood something or you missed to take other factors into consideration. Listen carefully to understand what the other means and never think that you only own the right answer. You never know, you might have really missed something!!"

Philosophy Class

A professor stood before his Philosophy class and had some items in front of him.

When the class began, wordlessly, he picked up a very large and empty mayonnaise jar and proceeded to fill it with golf balls.

He then asked the students if the jar was full.

They agreed that it was.

The professor then picked up a box of pebbles and poured them into the jar.

He shook the jar lightly. The pebbles rolled into the open areas between the golf balls.

He then asked the students again if the jar was full.

They agreed it was.

The professor next picked up a box of sand and poured it into the jar.

Of course, the sand filled up everything else.

He asked once more if the jar was full.

The students responded with a unanimous "yes."

The professor then produced two cups of coffee from under the table and poured the entire contents into the jar, effectively filling the empty space between the sand.

The students laughed.

"Now," said the professor, as the laughter subsided, "I want you to recognize that this jar represents your life.

"The golf balls are the important things - your God, family, your children, your health, your friends, and your favourite passions - things that if everything else was lost and only they remained, your life would still be full.

"The pebbles are the other things that matter like your job, your house, and your car.

"The sand is everything else--the small stuff.

"If you put the sand into the jar first," he continued, "there is no room for the pebbles or the golf balls.

"The same goes for life.
"If you spend all your time and energy on the small stuff, you will never have room for the things that are important to you.

"Pay attention to the things that are critical to your happiness.

Play with your children.

"Take time to get medical checkups.

"Take your partner out to dinner.

"Play another 18.

"There will always be time to clean the house and fix the disposal.

"Take care of the golf balls first, the things that really matter.

"Set your priorities.

"The rest is just sand."

One of the students raised her hand and inquired what the coffee represented.

The professor smiled. "I'm glad you asked.

"It just goes to show you that no matter how full your life may seem, there's always room for a cup of coffee with a friend."

There is always time to do what ever you want in life. But little management is needed in order to do and enjoy each situation properly. Work for your priorities so that you would be able to fulfil the smaller things peacefully.
